<br /> Coastal Mr.Abbott is an experienced coastal managerand environmental planner. His efforts
<br /> Planners, LLC to improve proposed developments by capitalizing on innovative natural resource
<br /> conservation have led to worldwide experience in Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand,
<br /> satisfied Clients Japan, Indonesia, the Northern Mariana Islands, Australia, Turkey, Holland, and

<br /> including; constructed wetlands, water quality and watershed planning; shoreline,

<br /> Discipline Areasanctuary's; and policy, permitting and law. Mr. Abbott has worked in the

<br /> • Conservation Areas helped develop cross-jurisdictional, multi-sector approaches to solving complex
<br /> Policy• coastal and environmental problems. He co-chaired a two-day seminar on shoreline
<br /> • Public Participation law in Hawaii and has authored peer reviewed methods to balance competing
<br /> Stakeholder• interests and promote sustained use within the coastal zone. He is active in the
<br /> Inclusion coastal community and serves on the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National
<br /> • Erosion Response Marine Sanctuary Advisory Committee, the Northwestern Hawaiian Island Coral
<br /> • Managed Retreat& Reef Ecosystem Research Advisory Council, and the State Natural Area Reserves
<br /> Adaptive Commission as appointed by Governor Ige. He also served on the Hawaii Audubon
<br /> RealignmentSociety Board of Directors, Hawaii Ocean and Coastal Council, and Chaired the
<br /> • Shoreline ; Coastal Legacy Land Conservation Commission to which two Governor's appointed him.

<br /> • resources report that identified environmental constraints and opportunities at
<br /> Kahana Beach Park in support of master planning efforts for the future use of this
<br /> Experience. popular County facility. Created GIS-based maps illustrating natural resources such
<br /> 20+ as sand dunes,wetlands, flood inundation and erosion prone areas. Identified areas
<br /> for native species restoration, established opportunities for easily maintained

<br /> Coastal Planning Conservation Area Planning, Lipoa Point& Honolua Bay, Maui, H1. Authored a
<br /> Solomon'sUniversity of Island Maryland Natural Environment Coastal Report for this newly acquired 244-acre site in West
<br /> - Maui. The report identified natural and environmental resources, constraints,
<br /> Research opportunities, and land use entitlements. It evaluated permitting requirements and
<br /> regulatory frameworks for a range of potential improvements identified by agencies,
<br /> Science
<br /> stakeholders, and the public. Recommendations for the long-term sustainable use
<br /> ' _ of this unique, undeveloped property were provided to serve as a basis for master

<br /> Morgantown, V\/V Bobbie' to continue sharing traditional Koa canoe and paddle making techniques
<br /> while educating participants in cultural, coastal and environmental issues and
<br /> sustainable practices.
