<br /> Martin Nakasone is a Vice President and Area Manager for AECOM Hawaii-Pacific Islands. He oversees day-to-day operations and a staff of
<br /> over 200 professionals. Previously, Martin provided leadership and oversight for the Transportation Business Line to include planning and design
<br /> for aviation, roadway, highways,and marine transportation projects. Martin previously led AECOM's facility design practice for the region. His

<br /> Principal in Charge of the$4,190,469 project that involved the development of a conceptual plan for the 22-acre site in Honolulu.The master plan
<br /> utilized work done under an earlier feasibility study as a foundation in which to prepare detailed concepts of the overall site(landscape,circulation,
<br /> pick-up/drop-off,etc.),renovated Concert Hall and Arena,and new Exhibition Hall, Performance Hall, Sports Pavilion,and Parking Garage. Fifteen
<br /> technical studies were also performed during this phase of the project to further investigate site and building conditions,sustainable design strategies,
<br /> traffic impacts,retail demand,and cost estimation. Public participation included website updates and stakeholder and public workshops.AECOM is
<br /> currently performing design work for the schematic design of the center.As Principal in Charge,oversaw client relations,personnel,and budgeting for the

<br /> Principal in Charge of the two-phase project.The first phase of the project,which was completed in 2014, involved the preparation of plans,
<br /> specification,cost estimates,and bid proposal for boat ramp with an ADA access ramp,floating dock,potable overland water line,comfort station
<br /> with an individual wastewater system,with a and docking area,and various fencing,signage,grading,and drainage.Additional work included a
<br /> coral study and investigation; marine surveys;and the redesign of the boat ramp and loading,accessible ramp,floating dock,washdown area,and
<br /> individual wastewater system,which was upgraded from anaerobic to aerobic as required by the SMA permit.The second phase of the project
<br /> includes the design of a new 24-foot-wide improved-access roadway that follows the existing alignment of a coral access road leading to the
<br /> Kawaihae Small Boat Harbor(SBH)South on Hawaii island,as well as the addition of two waterlines that will be added and connected to an existing
<br /> 12 inch-wide waterline along Akoni Pule Highway.The waterlines would run contiguous to the new improved-access roadway from a water main
<br /> connection near Akoni Pule Highway to the existing SBH site.

<br /> Program Design Manager of the$100 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity(IDIQ)contract.As Program Design Manager,worked closely
<br /> with the Guam Program Management Office(GPMO),partnering with all business lines at NAVFAC Pacific,from the environmental documentation
<br /> and planning stages with EV and AM,through design under Capital Improvements(CI)and in coordination with Public Works(PW). Involved with all
<br /> design task order negotiations under this contract. Responsible for the scheduling,cost management and overall execution of these task orders.
<br /> These task orders include landfill investigation studies,topographic and controls stakeout,activity and regional level DD1391s for facilities and
<br /> infrastructure build-up, utility and storm drainage studies,pesticide and hazardous materials surveys,and the development of several design-build
<br /> RFP documents.
