In addition, a site reconnaissance of the „, r`m . <br /> property was conducted to document piles of solid waste and ANI. 4- F` <br /> identify features that may suggest previous use of the site for a <br /> training range or bombing target. <br /> Project Highlights: <br /> Based on the sampling results and site reconnaissance, E2 <br /> developed an Environmental Hazard Management Plan (EHMP) <br /> that was incorporated into the construction documents for the "* 4 <br /> new park. <br /> The EHMP addressed the requirements for solid waste disposal <br /> and the screening of the site for unexploded ordnance (UXO) <br /> during construction. <br /> E2 assisted DLNR in negotiating a contingency fund to be <br /> provided in escrow by the landowner.The contingency fund was _ <br /> used to pay for disposal of solid waste and contaminated soil that '•"¢' , <br /> may be encountered during construction. <br /> How Successes or Lessons Learned Can Apply to This <br /> Contract: <br /> E2 was able to successfully characterize the site,which allowed <br /> DLNR to properly negotiate a purchase price with the current <br /> landowner and set up a contingency fund for the disposal of solid <br /> waste and contaminated soil encountered during construction. <br /> Cost: $212,540. <br /> 23.
