Does it look better now that it’s been cleaned up? <br />WEST: Is that the point? <br />HOUSEL: No, no, I’m asking, from your perspective, has the visual impact been improved? <br />WEST: Well, it looked really bad before. So any removal of anything makes it look better. <br />HOUSEL: Okay. Commissioners, do you have questions? <br />WEST: I’m not, I still have more. <br />HOUSEL: No, I’m sorry, your time has expired. Commissioners, any questions of the -? <br />BOWMAN: I have a question. You mentioned that there are other agricultural uses in that <br />subdivision. Do you mean the entire -? <br />WEST: Subdivision runs all, see that blue, all on the north side of Kawaihae Road. <br />BOWMAN: So, blue, oh okay, so the -. <br />WEST: Yeah, in the applicant’s, in the booklet for the application, it said the land wasn’t <br />appropriate for ag use, and so I’m just countering that. <br />BOWMAN: What, because you live there, what other ag – I’m just curious, I haven’t been there for <br />a while – what other ag businesses are there in that subdivision? <br />WEST: There is a big composting facility – used to be the egg farm. There’s other small farms <br />along the way. If you can just drive by -. I counted, when I was driving down here for this <br />morning’s hearing, and I counted six that I can see by the road. Now, I’m sure there’s other ones, <br />you know, small ag farms and stuff -. <br />BOWMAN: Okay, thank you. <br />WEST: That I’m, you know, I didn’t do a survey. <br />BOWMAN: Thank you. <br />HOUSEL: Thank you for your testimony.
