<br />WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSIION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I <br />HEARING TRANSCRIPT <br />NOVEMBER 6, 2009 <br />GIAMPAOLO BOSCHETTI <br />A regularly advertised hearing on the application of <br />(REZ 09-103) <br />was called to order at 9:05 a.m. in the County of Hawaii, Aupuni Center <br />Conference Room, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawai‘i, with Chairman Rell Woodward presiding. <br />PRESENT: Rell Woodward <br /> Takashi Domingo <br /> Andrew Iwashita <br /> Zendo Kern <br /> Shelly Ogata <br /> Wallace Ishibashi <br /> Brandon Gonzalez, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br /> BJ Leithead Todd, Planning Director <br /> Norman Hayashi, Planning Program Manager <br /> Jeff Darrow, Staff Planner <br /> Maija Cottle, Staff Planner <br /> And 19 people from the public in attendance. <br />APPLICANT: GIAMPAOLO BOSCHETTI (REZ 09-103) <br />Change of Zone from Single-Family Residential 7,500 square feet (RS-7.5) and Multiple-Family <br />Residential 1,000 square feet (RM-1) to Multiple-Family Residential 1,500 square feet (RM-1.5) <br />district. The property is located mauka of Kapiolani Street and the County of Hawaii Police <br />st <br />complex, Kukuau 1, South Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-4-25:48, 53 and 80. <br />WOODWARD: We will begin on Agenda Item No. 1. This is a continued item from the <br />last meeting. Primarily we were waiting on resolution of an issue regarding an easement to a <br />landlocked parcel. We have a letter that that has been satisfactorily resolved; and so that is no <br />longer an issue. <br />What I’d like to do, since that really was the largest remaining issue, is to have the Planning Staff <br />make brief presentation. We’ll allow Mr. Lim to come up because there have been several letters <br />we received in the interim, and maybe address those concerns. And we do have one person from <br />the public signed up to testify. So, Maija? <br />COTTLE: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I’ll just go right into the presentation.
