Its a letter dated March 17, 1983. <br />IBBETSON:That was Keolas visit. <br />KRUEGER:Mr. Ibbetson have you seen that document before? <br />IBBETSON:Lord, lets take a look. Site visit, I see a 3/11. I cant honestly remember <br />whetherornotIveseenthisdocumentornot.ButImsurethatIprobablygotitinmy <br />documents. Im sure they mailed it to me. <br />KRUEGER:Okay. In this document, its a memorandum from an individual Kai <br />Markel, History and Cultural Branch Chief of the State Historic Preservation. Did you ever <br />speak to Mr. Markel? <br />IBBETSON:Yes I did. <br />KRUEGER:And this is a memo to him from Keola Lindsey the Hawaii Sites <br />Preservation Specialist I, the State Historic Preservation Division. You mentioned you did speak <br />to Keola Lindsey as well. <br />IBBETSON:Oh, absolutely. <br />KRUEGER:And in this memorandum Mr. Lindsey is indicating to Mr. Markel that he <br />visited the subject property because you had discussed your plans for the property with Mr. <br />Markel is that correct? <br />IBBETSON:Thats correct. Yes. <br />KRUEGER:He indicates in here, he emphasized to you that this was a preliminary site <br />visit. Did he tell you that? <br />IBBETSON:Thats correct. <br />KRUEGER:Okay. He said other issues discussed were recordation of sites with the <br />Bureau of Conveyances, consultations with and access for lineal and or cultural descendants <br />formalizing burial treatment plan prior to ground altering activities and Mr. Ibbetson seemed <br />agreeable to these items and said he would contact SHPD again soon.
