So, Director, you have <br />anything else there? <br />YUEN: As a general question, this comes up in a very similar way a lot of <br />time in the sense of a developer will come in and be on a street and we€ll put in a <br />rezoning requirement that they improve the street. And it€s usually, the only fair‚ way <br />to do it is through an improvement district, but it€s often very difficult to manage that <br />because people have different timeframes on what their going to do. I think we€ll let it go <br />for now and we€ll work it out when the time comes. <br />ALAMEDA:Thank you. Commissioners, other questions? I€ve been all in <br />favor of going ahead with paving, you know, as soon as we can put the hui together. As <br />Jeff has mentioned, the biggest problem we have now is with Greg€s property. It€s the <br />last one, he€s so far down that it€s quite a bit more money to get to his property. But as <br />far as Wally Tavares€ place, we already have a quote for that; and we have enough parties <br />interested that this particular hui, we should be able to get pavement to Wally€s place <br />probably within a year; and I think we all want to see that. For the condition to, as a condition to extend <br />or apply for extension on the special permit, when did we start placing this particular <br />condition on the special permit? <br />YUEN:Was in the last few years. There have been quite, aside from this <br />area, they are also the same on other areas. Cause part of the idea of even getting a set <br />area going is if people can buy one lot and get a special permit that€s good forever, why <br />would they go to a designated industrial area. So that was part of the thinking behind <br />doing this. And then at least it does enable somebody who is looking at it to say, well, <br />there is this market of people who are on special permits that they would have to relocate <br />if I did do a light industrial area. <br />10EXHIBIT C <br /> <br />
