<br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR RULEMAKING <br /> <br />PROPOSED ADOPTION OF <br />RULES OF PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I GAME MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMISSION <br /> <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing for the proposed adoption of Rules Of <br />Practice And Procedure, which is initiated by the Game Management Advisory Commission, <br />pursuant to Chapter 91, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (HRS) and Section 13-4 of Hawai‘i County <br />Charter. <br /> <br />DATE: Tuesday, March 21, 2023 <br /> TIME: 9:00 p.m. <br /> PLACE: 25 Aupuni St., Puna Conference Room #1501, Hilo, HI 96720 <br /> <br />The proposed adoption of rules for the County of Hawai‘i Game Management Advisory <br />Commission will: 1) specify powers and duties of the of the Commission, 2) specify the <br />organization of the Commission, 3) specify the rules related the conduct of meetings. The <br />County of Hawai‘i Game Management Advisory Commission was added to the Hawaii County <br />Charter in 2012 in Section 6-9.3, the proposed adoption of rules will provide clarity. <br /> <br />The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to <br />provide comments on the proposed adoption of rules. Written comments may be submitted in <br />person at the public hearing or be submitted by mail to the Game Management Advisory <br />Commission or via email to Barbara.Kossow@hawaiicounty.gov no later than March 21, 2022. <br /> <br />Copies of the proposed rules are on file and open to inspection during office hours at the Hilo <br />Office of the Mayor, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2603, Hilo, Hawai’i, and at the Kona Office of the <br />Mayor, 74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Hwy., Bldg C, Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. Additionally, a draft of <br />the proposed Game Management Advisory Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure can be <br />found on-line on the County website in the Game Management Advisory Commission folder at <br />https://records.hawaiicounty.gov/weblink/1/doc/120873/Page1.aspx. <br /> <br />Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or <br />language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Office of the Mayor at <br />808-961-8211 or 808-323-4444 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working <br />days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. <br /> <br />Notice to lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaiʻi County Clerk within <br />five days of becoming a lobbyist. \[Chapter 2, Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaiʻi County <br />Code.\] A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more <br />than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to <br />influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate <br />with public officials.” \[Chapter 2, Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaiʻi County Code.\] <br />Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County <br />Clerk-Council, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaiʻi 96720. <br /> <br />Hawai‘i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
