NEW BUSINESS STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS (open to the public) EXECUTIVE SESSION (closed to the public) To consider discipline and charges against employees of the Hawai‘i County Fire Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and a closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5(2) and Hawai‘i County Charter Section 13-20(b). STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINTS Complaint HCFC No. 06-02: Firefighter’s request to have reconsideration by the commission regarding its decision at the previous (3-14-07) meeting. Complaint HCFC No.07-01: Consideration of complaint filed more than sixty days after the incident on which the complaint is based. Complainant alleges two fire fighters purposely withheld information about a hit and run incident, failed to report duties done, etc. Complaint HCFC No.07-02: Consideration of complaint filed more than sixty days after the incident on which the complaint is based. Complainant alleges a fire fighter was driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, purposely withheld information about a hit and run incident, lied to the police, etc. ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in the Aupuni Center Conference Room, Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawai‘i Set agenda for May 9, 2007, meeting.
