Defines assault weapon. Authorizes the courts <br />to impose an extended term of imprisonment for an <br />offender who uses an assault weapon in the course of <br />committing certain crimes. <br />Defines "assault rifle" and "assault shotgun". Amends <br />the definition of "assault pistol" to expand what types of <br />guns are considered assault pistols.
