NO. 5'1O <br />forest reserves, natural area reserves, game <br />management areas, wildlife sanctuaries, public hunting <br />areas, private and commercial shooting preserves, or <br />private lands where hunting or hiking by the public is <br />authorized; and <br />(4) For research programs and activities concerning <br />7 wildlife conservation and management. Research <br />8 programs and activities funded under this paragraph <br />9 may be conducted by personnel of the department or <br />10 through grants-in-aid to or contracts with the <br />11 University of Hawaii or other qualified persons. <br />12 (d) The proceeds of the wildlife revolving fund shall not <br />13 be used as security for, or pledged to the payment of principal <br />14 or interest on, any bonds or other instruments of indebtedness. <br />15 (e) In addition to subsections (c) and (f), the department <br />16 [] shall use moneys [in] received into the wildlife revolving <br />17 fund for the importation into, and the management, preservation, <br />18 propagation, and protection of, game, introduced game species, <br />19 or wildlife in the State; provided that the department, prior to <br />20 authorizing expenditures or expending funds from the wildlife <br />21 revolving fund [shall first] and after coordinating and <br />HB LRB 19-0769 doc 3 <br />II <br />II <br />II <br />11 <br />II <br />II <br />
