in statewide documents and assure long-term diversified funding. <br />Coordination with staff or other agencies concerning PR project activities will be conducted by <br />written or verbal communication or by attendance at meetings or conferences. The coordinator will <br />provide training sessions for Division staff review projects in the field throughout the State, and chair <br />PR meetings. The coordinator will assure compliance with audit requirements, Federal Assistance <br />standards, applicable State and Federal laws and regulations and maximize utilization of available <br />Federal Assistance funding. The coordinator or other wildlife staff will attend annual meetings of <br />Region 1 Federal Assistance Coordinators, twice -annual meetings of the Western Association of Fish <br />and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA), and other national meetings and training as needed. The <br />coordinator will schedule and chair 1-2 statewide federal assistance meetings per year. The <br />coordinator will conduct an annual site visit to each Branch to inspect federal assistance projects for <br />compliance with program guidelines. During FYI 7-21, the coordinator and Branch project leaders <br />will participate and assist in a scheduled Federal Assistance Program comprehensive audit. <br />A draft game management plan for Hawaii is being developed through collaboration with a public <br />hunting advisory group, and the same is planned for Maui. The advisory group will appoint a <br />subcommittee to serve as a working group to provide guidance and oversight during the development <br />of the plan. Public input will allow the team to focus on areas of greatest need identified by the <br />hunting community. <br />The Wildlife Program Manager is the senior wildlife staff position on the administrative staff and has <br />been designated the Division Federal Assistance Coordinator. The Wildlife Program Manager reports <br />to and works through the Administrator who has line authority over all forestry and wildlife programs <br />and activities in the state through branch managers to branch wildlife staff. The Wildlife Program <br />Manager serves in a staff support and advisory function to the Administrator and Division staff. Location <br />The Federal Assistance Coordinator and the Game Program Coordinator are stationed at the Honolulu <br />Office of the Division of Forestry and Wildlife. The Branch Project Leaders are stationed in the <br />respective Branch offices of the Division of Forestry and Wildlife in Lihue, Kauai; Honolulu, Oahu; <br />Wailuku, Maui; Hilo, Hawaii; and Kamuela, Hawaii. <br />
