Phil Fernandez, President Hawaii Fishermen's Alliance for Conservation and <br />Tradition Inc. (HFACT), presenting on Department of Land and Natural Resources, <br />Division of Aquatic Resource’s Holomua Marine Initiative <br /> <br />6. NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />a. Review of 2024 Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting Dates. <br /> <br />b. Review of Outstanding GMAC Letters and Reports. <br /> <br />c. Nominations and Elections of GMAC Chair. <br /> <br />d. Review drafted Letter in Opposition to DLNR fencing in the PIHA area, <br />Commissioner Abraham Antonio <br /> <br />7. ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />a. Next meeting will be on March 19, 2024, at 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the 25 Aupuni <br />Street. Puna Conference Room, #1501, Hilo HI 96720. <br /> <br />8. ADJOURNMENT: (11:00 a.m.) <br />Executive Session: The Game Management Advisory Commission anticipates it may convene in one or <br />more executive sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 <br />and 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining <br />to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS <br />Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive session. Executive session is closed to the public. <br />Anyone wishing to discuss an item that does not appear on the agenda should call the commission <br />secretary at 808-323-4444 or email Barbara.Kossow@hawaiicounty.gov to have the subject placed on the <br />next available agenda. <br />Note: A meeting held by interactive conference technology shall be automatically recessed for up to 30 <br />minutes to restore communication when audiovisual communication cannot be maintained with all <br />members participating in the meeting or with the “in-person” location identified in this agenda. The <br />meeting may be in-person when either audiovisual communication is restored, or audio-only <br />communication is established after an unsuccessful attempt to restore audiovisual communication. If it is <br />not possible to reconvene the meeting as provided in this subsection within 30 minutes after an <br />interruption to communication, then the meeting shall be automatically terminated. <br />County of Hawai`i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br /> <br />
