Action on Item #4 PL-SPP-2023-000038: It was moved by Commissioner Paishon-Duarte and <br /> seconded by Commissioner Dela Cruz that the application for Special Use Permit, Docket No. <br /> PL-SPP-2023-000038, be approved based on the Planning Director's recommendation <br /> [TIMESTAMP 2:27:22]. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion carried with four ayes <br /> (Paishon-Duarte, Dela Cruz, Knowles, and DeFranco), no noes, and one absent and excused <br /> (Kanuha) [TIMESTAMP 2:28:27]. <br /> Action on Item #5 PL-USE-2023-000010: It was moved by Commissioner Dela Cruz and <br /> seconded by Vice Chair Knowles that the application for Use Permit, Docket No. PL-USE-2023- <br /> 000010, be approved based on the Planning Director's recommendation[TIMESTAMP 2:28:57]. <br /> A roll call vote was taken, and the motion carried with four ayes (Dela Cruz, Knowles, Paishon- <br /> Duarte, and DeFranco), no noes, and one absent and excused (Kanuha) [TIMESTAMP 2:29:21]. <br /> The hearing ended at 12:00 p.m. <br /> At 12:01 p.m. Chairperson DeFranco called a recess [TIMESTAMP 2:30:10], and she called the <br /> meeting back to order at 12:10 p.m. [TIMESTAMP 2:38:50] A moment of silence was taken to <br /> reflect on the tragedy that was currently happening on our Hawai`i Islands, in Lahaina and the <br /> families being impacted. <br /> 6. APPLICANT: WDC PROPERTIES, LLC (PL-SPP-2023-000040) <br /> Application for a 10-year time extension to Condition No. 4 (life of the permit) of Special <br /> Permit No. 538 to extend the life of the permit to June 30, 2035. Special Permit No. 538 <br /> was most recently amended in 2015 to allow the continued use of a heliport and related <br /> facilities on a 9.8-acre portion of a larger 13.007-acre property until June 30, 2025. The <br /> subject property is located at 68-690 Waikoloa Road on the southeast corner of its <br /> intersection with Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway, Por.
