To the Windward Planning Commission and the County of Hawaii, <br /> I am writing to state that I am opposed to the development plan in Punalu`u. The plans do not <br /> take into account the safety measures that need to be made prior to construction to protect the <br /> community. They say the development will create jobs in the area but the housing would be for <br /> tourists and the local community already has jobs.
