From: Wayne
To: W PCtesti mony
Subject: FW: Punaluu
Date: Tuesday, March 5,2024 4:56:11 PM
-----------------------------------------
From: "Wayne"
To: "WPCtestimony@hawaiicounty.gov"
Cc:
Sent: Sunday March 3 2024 8:59:59PM
Subject: Punaluu
Aloha, I'm Wayne Kawachi a lifetime residence of Kau. I have resided at Kalana Estate at
Punaluu since 2005. I support the plan because it addresses the concerns of the community.
The positives of this project definitely outweigh the negatives. On other note, Eva Lui loves
Kau. She has demonstrated this by participating in community events and donating generously
to various organizations. She has made 3 acres available for a community garden, and given
30 head of cattle to help feed the needy during the pandemic and beyond. The old restaurant,
former golf clubhouse and the Aspen Center building, as well as other areas are being cleaned
up. The growth of Kau is inevitable, our communities need to work together to keep Kau
healthy. Thank You
