Merit Appeals Board <br />February 23, 2024 <br />But I can appreciate how muchI can remember timesI'm not going to go over them, but <br />certain individuals up here that you would ask questions after we're all done and it's the kind of <br />questions that—wow, that is that's a good point. And I thinkI love when I get to hear those <br />things because and I get educated and then we all have a better understanding of what <br />information we're trying to get at. <br />But I, absolutely, appreciate the angle you come from, the education that you brought to us—and <br />coming from the University as well. <br />So, all the best. I really was hoping you could just stay on but I guess not. But thank you very, <br />very much. It has meant a lot to me. Thank you. <br />MS. TOKIHIRO: Sorry, can I just jump in—'cause I the letter doesn't get to come from me. <br />And they don't include the Director and I don't I haven't had the opportunity to work with you <br />for very long, but I do really appreciate your service and I appreciate having worked with you for <br />this period of time. <br />So, I wish you the best and I hope that we will see you as a volunteer, again, in another capacity <br />for to help serve the community again. CABANAS: J, I'll open the floor to you. <br />MR. YOSHIMOTO: Oh, sure. Kate, yeah, it has been a pleasure. We all appreciate your <br />contribution your independent thought process. Your willingness to ask the questions from, as <br />you see it—based on your life experiences. And I think those are super, super valuable and I <br />know they help you in your non -Board work as well. <br />No—we appreciate you—and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other in different capacities. <br />MR. KUNZ: And I hope we weren't a strain and thank you for tolerating us. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Glynis, you can come up and say a few words. <br />MS. YAMADA: Hey, Kate, like Charlie said, you did bring a very different, interesting—and it <br />made sense, to our Board and I'll really miss that. And then, J, I'm not sure, can she reapply in <br />two years—after two years? And maybe you can reapply after two years and join the Board <br />again. `Cause every year from now, someone will term out—like, Gay will term out the end of <br />this year, Charlie the following year, and then Gabriella the next. <br />Page 28 <br />
