Chief Oliveira mentioned that the HCFD is adding another volunteer unit in <br />the Ainaloa area. This will raise the total to 25 volunteer units in the County <br />of Hawai‹i. <br />PUBLIC STATEMENTS <br />Corporation Counsel Diane Noda advised the HCFC that she researched <br />Commissioner Browne€s request to ride Chopper 2. The police department has a <br />ride along program and requires the rider to sign a waiver. Chief Oliveira will <br />inform the commissioner when a non-emergency mission occurs in his/her <br />district. Ms. Noda will establish a consent and release form to ensure that the <br />Fire Commission, the Fire Department, and the County General will not be liable. <br />She will also incorporate rules intothe form.
