Most of our <br /> neighbors are full time residents either retired or in the working class.And are quiet neighbors whom respect others <br /> and enjoy the peace and quiet.But,unfortunately there are 3 vacation rental homes within a block of me that don't. <br /> One house can sleep up to 20 people with at least 4 vans that haul the people back and forth during the day and late <br /> into the night.They are loud because there are too many and feel entitled to"party!"They also have a swimming <br /> pool they hang out in yelling and screaming. I have often knocked on their doors to ask them to quiet down and their <br /> comment back is"we have paid a lot of money to stay here so have a right to enjoy ourselves". The neighbors and <br /> myself have had to call the police to quiet them down.The other 2 vacation rentals are also noisy and can be heard <br /> playing their loud music or shouting out in their drunken voices,or yelling out in their pools.They park along the <br /> streets because the houses don't have enough parking.Most of the owners of these STV's are from the Mainland <br /> and only into making money for themselves and could care less how it affects the neighborhood. We are in a state of <br /> emergency for locals looking for housing on the Island which we don't have because of vacation rentals.
