From: Wendy Malabuvo
To: LPCtestimonv
Subject: Bill 121 Testimony-Adapt Consent Requirements for Diverse Business Models
Date: Monday,April 15,2024 11:44:00 AM
Dear Esteemed Members,
have a concern regarding LLC's and businesses that operates transient
accommodations on the Big Island. The current consent requirement in Bill 121 under
Section 25-4-17.1 poses unnecessary hurdles for business entities. Allowing a managing
member or managing manager with due authority to sign off on necessary documents
would streamline operations while maintaining responsibility and accountability. It
should not require ALL owners to sign off if someone has been given authority to sign on
behalf of everyone.
From personal experience, this change would greatly benefit our operational efficiency
and is representative of the trust placed in legally authorized individuals by business
members. I urge you to consider this modification, supporting the diverse business
structures that contribute to our island's economy.
With regards,
Wendy and Paolo Malabuyo
