From: Jr Boy Lee
To: W PCtesti mono
Subject: Develop Punalu'u !The silent Majority want it ALL of Ka'u need it!
Date: Thursday,March 7,2024 10:49:08 PM
Aloha,
I am writing to support developing at Punalu'u and the surrounding areas. I believe the area
should be developed because It will create jobs for people and benefit the community
financially and their will develop interests to pay for saving the environment.
It will also make jobs for us who have to drive all the way up to Kona to work every day that
take me away from my Ohana. It will also make all of our houses worth more.
We are behind on everything. Punalu'u and the development in Discovery Harbour will help
all of Ka'u.
The majority of Ka'u wants the Punalu'u developed but most of us work and are responsible
for our Ka'u Ohana so do not have the time to be vocal about it. We are the silent majority
being ignored. We do not have time to protest in person because we work and aren't retired
or getting free money .
My grandma remembers that it used to be developed and then no one took care of it. We
had the chance to do this ourselves but didn't and the environment won't be saved unless
someone else spends their money to develop it.
Mahalo
Jr. Boy
Na'alehu, Hawaii
