From: annex.frustum.OwCnbicloud.com
To: WPCtestimony
Subject: Black Sands LLC Punalu'u SMA application
Date: Tuesday, March 12,2024 11:35:24 PM
Aloha WPC,
I am writing in opposition of the SMA permit application. Please do not allow this development happen. The
shoreline will different from this development. The subsistent Hawaiian lifestyle that is endangered in Hawaii will
be threatened by this project. The local community that support the project have sold out as I've heard in the public
testimonies provided, they all are in favor because of the money it will give them. They think the money the project
will bring outweighs losing the Ka'u lifestyle.More people, especially non-native will threaten this native Kau
ecosystem. This area should be preserved to protect this rare and endangered lifestyle.Besides the endangered
Hawaiian people in the proposed development habitat, there are also listed threatened and endangered species that
will be impacted including: Hawaiian Hoary Bats,Hawaiian Petrels,Hawaiian Goose,Band Rumped Storm Petrels,
Hawaiian Palms,Hawaiian Shrimp,Hawaiian Bees,Hawaiian Moths,Hawaiian Plants.The habitat that myself and
these fellow Hawaiians depend upon will be lost by this development,do not allow this.
Mahalo and please make the right choice,
Ka'u Ohana
