The County's CP priorities will also be used to determine if projects applying for other <br />• HUD funds (Super NOFA) are consistent with the County's CP. For the County's CP, <br />high and medium priorities will be considered as consistent with the County's CP. <br />The following are the County's CP Priorities: <br />Hitah Priorities <br />• Housing - Housing for households earning less than 80% of median income [i.e. rental, <br />homeownership, special needs, homeless and activities which will produce new housing (i.e. <br />water, streets, environmental activities, planning, etc.)] <br />• Public Health and Safety - Activities that protect the health and safety of the residents in <br />Hawaii County. (i.e. fire, police, environment, etc.) <br />• Federal Mandates - Activities to meet legal obligations or federal mandates. (i.e. ADA) <br />• Public Facilities - Child care., youth, and/or senior centers; facilities for the disabled; <br />homeless facilities; health facilities; neighborhood facilities; and/or parks & recreation <br />facilities. <br />Medium Priorities <br />• Infrastructure (other than housing related) - Water /sewer /street improvements; solid waste <br />disposal; and/or flood drainage improvements. <br />• Public Services - Senior, disabled, youth, childcare, transportation, substance abuse, <br />employment, health, lead hazards, crime, etc. <br />• Economic Develop - Activities which create jobs for low and moderate income persons. <br />Low Priorities <br />Public Facilities - Parking facilities and non - residential historic preservation. <br />• Infrastructure - Sidewalks. <br />The County's CP also contains housing, special needs, and homeless data, census data, needs, <br />and inventory. This was used to produce the 2010 -2014 goals and priorities. <br />H. Approval Process <br />The County's CP process requires the approval of the Hawaii County Housing Agency <br />(the policy malting body of the OHCD) and the Mayor before submittal to HUD. <br />•2010 -14 CP Final <br />
