Land Study Bureau's Detailed Land Classification System: Soil within the property <br /> is classified as "C" or"Fair" and "D" or"Poor". <br /> 20. Soil Survey: The soil is Puuikaaka— Lava flows complex with 10 to 20 percent slopes <br /> and consists of ash fields over pahoehoe lava flows. The soil is well drained, and the <br /> runoff class is high. <br /> 21. Agricultural Lands of Importance to the State of Hawaii (ALISH): The subject parcel <br /> is listed as "Other Lands" per ALISH. <br /> 22. Flood Zone: The property is situated within an area designated as Zone X on the Flood <br /> Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) by FEMA, an area of minimal flood hazard located outside <br /> the 500-year flood plain. <br /> 23. Flora/Fauna Resources: No professional floral or faunal survey was conducted of the <br /> property because the property has been developed for residential and agricultural use for <br /> several years. According to the applicant, while they believe that rare or endangered <br /> floral or faunal resources are unlikely to be found within the subject site, it is possible <br /> that the Hawaiian Hawk and Hawaiian owl may use the area. The endemic Hawaiian <br /> hoary bat may also utilize the site as they are far ranging and utilize diverse habitats <br /> across the island. According to the applicant the vegetation on the site includes guinea <br /> grass, trumpet tree, cook pine, sugar cane, golden pothos, ginger, koa, podocarpus, <br /> soursop, cacao, starfruit, lilikoi, royal poinciana,jacaranda, hibiscus,hao, Hawaiian black <br /> velvet pearl, and six (6)different varieties of avocados. <br /> 24. Historic and Cultural Resources: No professional archaeological and cultural study <br /> was conducted of the property. According to the applicant, no archeological or historical <br /> features are known to exist on the subject property. There are no known traditional or <br /> customary Native Hawaiian cultural rights being practiced within the subject property or <br /> any known cultural or historic resources existing on the property. The applicant reports <br /> that they believe it is unlikely to find any significant archeological features on the site as <br /> it has previously been developed for residential and agricultural uses. <br /> 25. Public Access: There is no public access to the shoreline or mountains that run through <br /> the property. <br /> -4- <br />
