DeVera, Ashley <br /> From: Donna Parker <likepukaua@gmail.com> <br /> Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2023 8:29 AM <br /> To: LPCtestimony <br /> Subject: Kaupulehu Land LLC <br /> Aloha Commission: <br /> This email is to inform you that I am in OPPOSITION of the above-referenced applications being made by Kaupulehu <br /> Land LLC. <br /> I was born and raised in Waimea where my father was a rancher and a farmer, and he took great pride in this. <br /> People live in Waimea or move to Waimea because of the open spaces, the beautiful mountains and hills that surround <br /> us. Waimea was never meant to be a town for developers who purchase land, want to change the zoning to selfishly <br /> satisfy their bottomline. This development is irresponsible, and disrespectful to the agricultural land. One is supposed to <br /> farm or use it for agricultural purposes, NOT to build (3) 2-story buildings, a large parking lot and (5) additional <br /> residential lots. <br /> The traffic in this section of Waimea is already very dangerous with cars weaving in and out of several driveways to get <br /> on and off of the highway, and/or the center lane. The roadway cannot support this additional traffic, and has a formal <br /> traffic study been conducted? <br /> If the Commission recommends this development to the Council, you will be part of the problem, and not the solution. <br /> I absolutely DO NOT support agricultural land being turned into commercial/residential lots! <br /> Mahalo, <br /> Donna and Walter Parker <br /> 1 <br />
