Hawaii Police Commission Meeting Agenda July 19, 2024 Page 2 EXECUTIVE SESSION (CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC) The commission will meet in executive session to consider charges against officers or employees of the police department, where matters affecting privacy will be involved; to consider sensitive matters related to public safety, and may consult with the board's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a)(2)(4)(6) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b). CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF COMPLAINTS (Briefly summarized) • HPC 24-22: Complainant alleges officers are harassing him and fabricating charges. • Review of complaints in the non-acceptance category CORRESPONDENCE • Correspondence No. 24-14: Letter from the District Court of the Third Circuit referencing case number 3DTA-24-00400, State of Hawaii v. Humberto M. Arguello. (continued from 6/21/24) • Correspondence No. 24-17: Request for reconsideration of HPC Complaint No. 24-12 held in abeyance for 90 days due to pending criminal matter.
