The study included traffic, parking, Antiterrorism Force <br /> ,N w Protection (ATFP), environmental, electrical, structural, and seismic <br /> analysis for planned renovations to increase the number of children <br /> the CDC can accommodate, from 246 to 380. <br /> Cost: $378,699 <br /> +, • <br /> ..;-" Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Outfall Shoreline <br /> • Revetment Project and Environmental Assessment(EA) <br /> f <br /> . . Sand Island, Oahu, Hawaii <br /> SSFM provided project management (pre-design through <br /> construction), environmental planning (HRS 343 EA), and served <br /> as the Civil and Structural Designer-of-Record for a new revetment <br /> ~r' structure at the location of the existing Sand Island VVWTP Outfall <br /> structure along the shoreline on the southwest point of Sand Island <br /> 1 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The revetment is needed to protect the VWVTP <br /> , <br /> ' f outfall, which is critical infrastructure for Honolulu, as this is the only <br /> wastewater outfall servicing the area. <br /> Estimated Cost: $14 million <br /> Hoku Kea Observatory Decommissioning Project and <br /> Environmental Assessment(EA) <br /> Mauna Kea, Hawaii Island, Hawaii <br /> SSFM provided overall project management of the complete <br /> Design-Bid-Build, including planning and permitting for the <br /> decommissioning of the Hoku Kea Observatory building structure, <br /> generator building, and associated telecommunications and <br /> • <br /> electrical infrastructure on the summit of Mauna Kea. The proposed <br /> deconstruction required compliance with extensive guidelines <br /> - driven by the Mauna Kea Comprehensive Management Plan and <br /> development of an HRS 343 EA, and a Conservation District Use <br /> Permit. <br /> Estimated Construction Cost: $1.4 million <br />
