<br /> fence(approximately 12-13 feet tall)along the Kamehameha Highway mauka shoulder with a new stronger rockfall impact fence(approximately
<br /> 15 feet tall). Required permits and approvals include a federal-level National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 consultation, Endangered
<br /> Species Act Section 7 consultation, National Environmental Policy Act Categorical Exclusion,and Magnuson-Stevens Act Essential Fish Habitat
<br /> consultation. State-level permits and approvals include Hawaii Revised Statues(HRS)Chapter 6E-8 related to conserving and developing the
<br /> historical and cultural properties within the state, HRS Chapter 195D related to conservation of forestry,wildlife,and aquatic resources,and
