Following her graduation,she spent eight years <br /> Council for Native Hawaiian teaching at several UH campuses and served as the Director of Native <br /> Advancement Hawaiian Career and Technical Education at Leeward Community College. <br /> Board Member,2019-2020 She was recruited by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to assist in leading <br /> Ka Honua Momona their newly established research division and was soon promoted to Chief <br /> Board member,2016-Present Knowledge Officer. Malia is also the founding editor of MANA Magazine and <br /> continues to serve on its advisory board.
