<br /> d. The lao Valley State Monument Park sustained flood damage due to the September 2016 heavy rains on Maui. The heavy rains
<br /> caused the Wailuku River running through the park to rise, triggering flood damage and landslides along the banks of the park.
<br /> First phase involved design and construction of remedial measures to stabilize the stream bank to avert further undercutting.
<br /> Phase 2 involves permanent repairs to address the long-term stability of the parking lot. This will include installation of a series
<br /> of 30-foot reinforcing bars grouted into drilled holes to stabilize the slope and placement of shotcrete and sculptured to improve
<br /> the appearance of slope face.
