SCOPE:B+K created three regional plans for the Central,South and West Maui regions.These plans highlighted the need for <br /> affordable housing and infrastructure that would support those projects as part of the House Maui Initiative. The House Maui <br /> Initiative supported the planning and delivery of much needed affordable and workforce housing while building on the County of <br /> Maui's community-based planning process.As part of the effort,the B+K team explored where regional infrastructure can support <br /> and serve as a catalyst for affordable and workforce housing projects. The B+K team helped the County get additional funding for <br /> the Waiale Road Extension project,as a recipient of$25 M through the FY2022 RAISE grant.Through a public private partnership <br /> with the neighboring developer,200 additional affordable homes will be built.Last year,the B+K team helped the County get$25 M <br /> through the FY2023 RAISE grant for another roadway extension project that will support housing.PROJECT COST:N/A <br /> STANDARD FORM 330(7/2021)Page 3 <br />
