Relevant Project Samples <br /> State of Hawaii, DLNR - New Administration <br /> Building in West Hawaii (Kaiminani Drive) <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> Uchiyama Erskine Architects (UEA) provided <br /> planning, programming and conceptual design <br /> services for a new Department of Land and <br /> Natural Resources (DLNR)facility along Kaiminani <br /> Drive in Kailua-Kona. The planning services <br /> included the preparation of an Environmental <br /> Assessment. The project is thoughtfully designed <br /> to avoid impacting adjacent significant <br /> archaeological sites located in an extensive cave <br /> system that is bordering the proposed <br /> development. The facility will be composed of II <br /> two main buildings with a conference space <br /> Project Owner: State of Hawaii, DLNR <br /> between. A third building is planned, but will <br /> only be designed and constructed if there is a Project Cost: $18,000,000(est.) <br /> future need. The facility will house the Project Size: 7,500 sq ft (not including baseya <br /> administrative functions of the DLNR State Parks Status: Completed 2021 <br /> Division and possible other divisions as well. A <br /> large baseyard is planned for storage of work <br /> vehicles, equipment and to create additional <br /> exterior work areas. <br />
