• Land Use and Circulation Element(Santa Monica,CA) <br /> Project Manager and extension of staff. Prepared draft element content, developed the land use map and policies, and <br /> created a chapter on health and sustainability. <br /> SPECIFIC PLANS AND PRECISE PLANS <br /> • Eastside Community Plan(West Hollywood,CA) <br /> Project Manager and Principal-in-Charge. Worked with a community advisory committee to develop an implementation- <br /> focused community plan for the Eastside of West Hollywood. Topics included urban design, transportation, community <br /> identity,public safety,and economic development. The project included a community event that drew hundreds of Eastside <br /> residents to celebrate the identity of the neighborhood and provide input on the plan. <br /> • Orange Line BRT Sustainable Corridor Plan(City of Los Angeles,CA) <br /> Project Manager and Principal-in Charge. Developed implementation-focused plan that included detailed station-specific <br /> and corridor-wide strategies for 13 stations along this active BRT corridor. Led to funding for multiple specific plans for <br /> stations along the corridor. <br /> • Thousand Oaks Downtown Core Master Plan(Thousand Oaks,CA) <br /> Principal-in-Charge. Completed a Master Plan for a 60-acre area in and around the Thousand Oaks City Hall and Civic <br /> Arts Plaza to create a pedestrian-focused vibrant downtown in a traditional, auto-oriented suburban city. Led a team of <br /> real estate economists,architects and transportation experts in creating a design framework with four primary actions for <br /> success, all which are implementable by the City. <br /> • North Bayshore Precise Plan(Mountain View,CA) <br /> Principal-in-Charge and Co-Project Manager. Responsibilities included managing a multi-disciplinary team, creating <br /> form based development standards and regulations that convert a suburban office park into a 21st century mixed use <br /> district with office, residential and retail. Created standards for green buildings and to preserve natural habitat and <br /> endangered species. Included an innovative community benefits program that tied the allocation of office development to <br /> the construction of residential units and significant advances in green buildings. <br /> • Fresno Central Southeast Area Specific Plan(Fresno,CA) <br /> Project Manager and Principal in Charge. Leading a team of consultants on a specific plan for the Central Southeast <br /> neighborhood of Fresno, a 2,220 acre area southeast of Downtown. The Specific Plan addresses a wide range of topics that <br /> impact the quality of life in the community including affordable housing,jobs and economic development, transportation, <br /> parks and open space, and a healthy environment. <br /> • El Camino Real Precise Plan(Mountain View,CA) <br /> Principal-in-Charge. Developed form-based standards and regulations for infill development along this iconic corridor. <br /> Plan identifies building heights, build-to lines, setbacks and stepbacks and other regulations to enhance walkability and <br /> improve connections with adjacent residential areas. <br /> • Fremont City Center Precise Plan(Fremont,CA) <br /> Served as Principal-in-Charge. Led a multi-disciplinary team to transform a suburban commercial area into a downtown. <br /> Plan includes identification of sub-areas, topic-specific policies, street standards, and a form-based code. <br /> HEALTH, EQUITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE <br /> • Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles:General Plan Health Element and Implementation Ordinances(Los Angeles,CA) <br /> Project Manager and Principal-in-Charge. Responsibilities included project coordination, writing sections of the health <br /> element, creating interactive web site on existing health conditions and developing implementation programs and <br /> ordinances. <br /> • Riverside County Health Element(Riverside,CA) <br /> Project Manager and Principal-in-Charge. Responsibilities included developing topic-specific fact sheets; working with a <br /> technical advisory committee and writing the health element, one of the first county-level health elements in the State. <br /> • Santa Clara County Health Element(Santa Clara County,CA) <br /> Principal-in-Charge. Responsibilities included project management, developing detailed existing conditions report, <br /> coordinating a community advisory committee and a department/agency advisory committee; and writing portions of <br /> the Health Element. <br /> • El Monte Health and Wellness Element(El Monte,CA) <br /> Project Manager and Principal-in-Charge. Led a health element for the General Plan, one of the first in the State.
