<br /> ' Simran Malhotra, with a background in planning, urban design and architecture,
<br /> brings a distinctive design perspective to all her projects leading to the creation of
<br /> vibrant, attractive, and thriving places. She has authored plans for many types of
<br /> urban environments, in particular,TOD/mixed-use districts, downtowns, historic and
<br /> residential neighborhoods, commercial corridors, industrial areas, and educational
<br /> campuses. These efforts have resulted in community-based planning and urban
<br /> design innovations that have achieved notable implementation. For over twenty
<br /> ° years, Ms. Malhotra's academic and professional interests have coalesced into an
<br /> effective design and planning process, one that balances community concerns and
<br /> objectives with market and financial feasibility. Her hands-on involvement in each
<br /> EDUCATION project,with particular emphasis on generating and developing high-quality design,
<br /> Graduate School of Design, Harvard policy and regulatory documents, ensures that each assignment is completed to the

<br /> School of Planning and Architecture Simran is the deputy project manager for the first comprehensive update of the
<br /> Bachelor of Architecture City's General Plan. The community-driven process is intended to result in a new
<br /> New Delhi, India long-range General Plan that preserves the unique characteristics of the City
<br /> while creating a more prosperous and sustainable Thousand Oaks. TO2045 is
<br /> EXPERIENCE intended to address the issues of preserving the City's small-town character and

<br /> The Arroyo Group, Pasadena, CA Simran was the Principal-in-charge and project manager for the Palmdale
<br /> Principal, 2005-2017 General Plan Update project, which was recently adopted after extensive
<br /> Senior Associate, 2000-2005 community engagement over 3 years. The City of Palmdale is positioned to draw

<br /> California Planning Roundtable, Simran led the General Plan 2040 which establishes a vision for Beaumont and
<br /> Member& Past Vice-President, its sphere of influence over the next several decades. The vision includes a careful

<br /> Member Simran led the effort for updating the City of Indio's zoning code to achieve
<br /> consistency with the recently adopted General Plan. The project included
<br /> creation of new zoning districts and updated review processes, as well as a
<br /> single user-friendly Unified Development Code document.
