Class Information <br />AGE: Must be 55 years of age and older to participate. <br />ENROLLMENT: Registration will be closed when the class limit is met. Class size is dependent on room size and student/teacher ratio. You will <br />need an Elderly Activities Division Senior Identification card to participate in activities. If you do not have an identification card, please call the <br />ERS office to schedule an appointment. ERS Release of Claims/Emergency Information Form must be completed prior to starting activities. <br />SUMMER REGISTRATION: General public registration will start MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2024 @ 8:00 AM (This will be a drive-thru registration <br />from Sam to 9am) at the Afook Chinen Auditorium (323 Manono St.) and continue at Kamana Senior Center (127 Kamana St.). Please see <br />attached map for information and details. Registration will continue and end on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2024, at Kamana Senior Center. NO <br />REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JULY 19TH. NO REGISTRATION BY TELEPHONE. Register by writing your name, telephone #, email <br />address and classes you are requesting on the class registration sheet. You may register for multiple classes. Payment will be collected when <br />classes begin. If you decide to drop the course before the 2nd class, please call the ERS office at 961-8710 & "no shows" will be removed from <br />the attendance after the 2nd class. Pre -registration for each class will be available prior to the end of the quarter for students currently enrolled <br />in the class. <br />WINTER QUARTER: Registration will begin Monday, DECEMBER 16, 2024, with classes beginning on Monday, JANUARY 13, 2025. Pre- <br />registration for students currently enrolled in a course will be available before the end of the current quarter. No pre -registration by telephone. <br />CLASS COSTS: Participants will be required to pay a registration fee per class, regardless if it is instructional or non -instructional. Starting from <br />Summer 2024, there will be an increase in class fees to $20 for the entire session whether it's 8, 9, or 10 classes and will be collected at the <br />first and second class. All classes will be $20.00 regardless of length of time except for those classes that require extra money for supplies. The <br />monies will be used to support all programs and ERS activities. No refunds after the second class. Do NOT pay in office. Please pay in class. If <br />paying with cash please bring exact change. If paying by check make checks out to: County Director of Finance. Credit Cards not accepted. <br />ERS SPORTS CLASSES: Cost is $20 for each class per quarter. <br />FACILITY RULES: Service animals are welcome. Comfort animals and pets are not permitted on County premises. Please refrain from bringing <br />children/minors to classes. <br />Services and opportunities to participate in Elderly Recreation programs are provided to persons 55 years or older without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability or religion.
