DeVera, Ashley
From: PATRICK WAKE <
Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2024 2:07 PM
To: Planning General Plan
Subject: Testimony/ Revision of Hawaii General Plan needed
Aloha Planning Department,
The final draft of the Big Island general plan does not support the future of the Big Island, nor
does it clearly define what you want to do. It should be revised or thrown out and redone.
The current plan looks like it will further regulate and fine the public, limit travel, cluster people
into dense housing and more. It lacks a conclusive plan to help communities prosper.
The main structure of the plan is sustainability when it should be innovation.
Your general plan seems to be a copy model throughout the country. We don't need the Mainland
deciding how we live here.
Please review the attached PFD and revise the general plan accordingly.
Mahalo
Patrick Wake

https://www.standtogetherhawaii.com/ files/ugd/86fc0c b34739e4c99c461685de4c0207bf286e.pdf
i
