I don't disagree with it - I want to understand why <br /> this is important and how it relates to the larger island issue of housing. <br /> Table 28 <br /> The Kona community is still very upset about the once free parking lots in the commercial area <br /> east of Ali'i Drive now being paid parking. It would be great if the County could create a <br /> program to better manage this situation, beyond using the town trolley, or having residents get <br /> a discount on parking by providing their personal information (driver's license and credit card <br /> information) to get 90 minutes of free parking. I know this could be a multi year discussion, <br /> including purchasing land and creating a program to better manage the parking, but it would <br /> be a huge win for the County. I don't mind paying for parking, and I'd rather pay for parking <br /> that go through another issue of identity theft or hacking. I'm not providing my personal <br /> information to an unknown third party to save a few bucks. <br /> Page 111, Objective 17 <br /> 17.4 Replace "should" with shall (active living corridors shall be incorporated...) <br /> Page 116, Actions <br /> 19a Is the County's Street Design Manual being used now? The working here makes me think it <br /> isn't. <br /> Page 117, Policies <br /> Please consider using "appropriate" instead of "when necessary" for the Street Design Manual. <br /> When necessary sounds like it is less likely to be used on a regular basis, and is subjectively <br /> applied. <br /> Actions. <br /> 20a.
