Wong: Yes.
Nishimoto: Are there any changes to the report?
Wong: No.
Nishimoto: Director, are there any report of protests?
Takase: Madame Chairman, the applicant has mailed 13 out of 13 notices within 100
feet, 228 out of 229 notices within 500 feet. There were 3 condominiums or cooperative
apartments that were also notified. There were 185 properties entitled to protest, we
received no protests to this application.
Nishimoto: Thank you. Any public testimony?
There was no public testimony.
Nishimoto: Seeing there are none. Commissioners, any discussion or questions?
Wilkinson: I have a question, Commissioner Wilkinson. I understand that this is an
expansion to a total of 22,522 square feet, what is the existing licensed premises size?
Wong: The current license is I believe a dispenser license, all we're doing is expanding
to include mini bars in the additional rooms adjacent to the property.
Wilkinson: Okay.
Takase: I would say the main hotel building is probably double the size at least, they
have the license for the main building, which is the primary hotel, and there's an annex
in the back of it, so that's what they're licensing.
Nishimoto: Any other questions, discussion?
There was no discussion by Commissioners.
Nishimoto: Moving on, may I have a motion to close the public hearing?
Okabe: Motion to close public hearing.
Espejo: Second.
Commissioner Okabe moved to close the public
hearing; Seconded by Commissioner Espejo.
Nishimoto: Any discussion on the motion?
There was no discussion by Commissioners.
MINUTES - LIQUOR COMMISSION MEETING - THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2024 - KONA PAGE 4 OF 34
