Owner of unit DO I, Kona Reef. Prior to contacting others could
you please answer a couple of questions. How will parking be handled, with a potential of 100 plus
cars? The required parking per the County Zoning Code for this proposed 100-room hotel is 117
parking stalls. As proposed, however, there will be 143 stalls, inclusive of four handicapped
and two (2) equipped with electrical chargers within the structure and hotel site. Access to the
parking garage will be from the south side of Kahakai Road.
Also, please address the noise concerns, that will be generated during months of constructions. Most
surrounding units are short term rentals. Noise and Hawaii vacation spell trouble. Especially for the
owners who depend on rent to pay their mortgages and taxes. I realize construction generates noise,
but what has been discussed by the developers,in reference to this issue? As you noted,
construction noise is unavoidable. The contractors will have to abide by the State Department of
Health Rules relating to not only construction noise but fugitive dust. The applicant will instruct its
contractors to limit use of heavy machinery or perform loud noise construction activity between the
hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm,with none during the weekend.
Regards,Tom Woolway.
Sent from my Whone
