While I
understand the importance of telecommunications infrastructure, this unrestricted approach
poses significant concerns for our community. I will not stop relaying this information and
ensuring companies who profit off the civilians they charge for services for.
The proposed bill raises several issues:
Visual Pollution: Towers can be unsightly and negatively impact the aesthetic appeal of
our neighborhoods and natural landscapes.
Property Values: The presence of towers can decrease property values, especially in
residential areas.
Health Concerns: Some studies have raised concerns about potential health risks
associated with electromagnetic radiation emitted by towers.
Lack of Community Input: The bill does not appear to include provisions for public
input or review, which is essential for ensuring that decisions are made in the best
interests of our community.
I urge the County Council to reject this bill and instead consider a more balanced approach
that includes:
Zoning Regulations: Implementing specific zoning regulations to designate appropriate
areas for tower construction.
Public Input: Requiring public hearings and input before permits are issued.
Environmental Impact Assessments: Mandating environmental impact assessments
for all proposed tower projects.
Alternative Solutions: Exploring alternative infrastructure options, such as
underground cabling or shared towers, to minimize the visual impact and potential
health concerns.
By taking these steps, we can ensure that telecommunications infrastructure is developed in a
way that benefits our community while protecting our quality of life and natural environment.
here is further information to support my opposition to this careless bill that only benefits the
telecommunications company and the taxes the government receives from them.
Why Radiation is More Harmful to Children
Children are more susceptible to the harmful effects of radiation due to several factors:
Rapid Growth and Development: Children's bodies are growing and developing at a
much faster rate than adults. This means their cells are dividing more frequently,
making them more vulnerable to radiation-induced damage.
