RelatingPROPOSED AMENDMENTS <br /> toPlanApproval <br /> Section 25-2-74(5) is proposed to be added as follows: <br /> 5) Documentation demonstrating compliance with the National Historic <br /> Preservation Act of 1966 Section 106 review has been completed. <br /> Reasons for the Amendment: Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act <br /> (NHPA) requires federal agencies to consider the potential impact of their actions on <br /> historic properties. Our current Use Permit application process requires Section 106 <br /> compliance documentation, but as a Use Permit will no longer be required for <br /> telecommunication towers and antennas, this amendment will ensure compliance <br /> with Federal law as part of the Plan Approval process. <br />
