Salary Commission <br />New Business (Item 5) <br />July 31, 2024 <br />A. Election of Salary Commission Chair And Vice -Chair for Calendar Year 2024 <br />CHR. PAVAO: "New Business" for discussion and appropriate action is the election of the <br />Salary Commission Chair and Vice -Chair for calendar year 2024—although we're almost in <br />August. We should have done it on our January meeting but, anyway, we'll take nominations, I <br />guess, we'll start with the "Chair" I guess. <br />MR. NELSON: Nominate Chairman Pavao—he's doing a great job. <br />MS. GREENBAUM: Yes. <br />MR. RIORDAN: I second that— <br />MS. <br />hat <br />MS. GREENBAUM: Yes. <br />MR. RIORDAN: Commissioner Riordan. <br />CHR. PAVAO: Any other nominations? If not, we'll accept the nomination and vote. All those <br />in favor of myself being the Chair, again, signify by saying aye. All those opposed? <br />The voice vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Commissioners Dudoit, Greenbaum, Kawa`auhau, Namahoe, Nelson, Riordan, <br />and Chair Pavao – 7. <br />OPPOSED: None. <br />ABSENT & EXCUSED: None. <br />CHR. PAVAO: Hearing none, then the motion passed. <br />And we need a Vice -Chair, as our past Vice -Chair is not a member of the Commission anymore. <br />So, any nominations for Vice -Chair? No volunteers? <br />MS. NAMAHOE: I nominate Commissioner Kawa`auhau. <br />SPEAKER: I second. <br />CHR. PAVAO: Any discussion? Any further nominations? <br />MS. GREENBAUM: No. <br />CHR.
