Garson: Good morning. So, I'm Katherine Garson, from Carlsmith Ball, I'm the <br />attorney for the applicant. With me is Sandor Shapery, he is the sole member of the <br />LLC (Limited Liability Company), Hotel Management Partners. <br />Nishimoto: Welcome. Could you please describe the business. <br />Garson: Most of you know in Kailua-Kona, this is the old Uncle Billy's. The old Uncle <br />Billy's is being refurbished into a Hampton Inn, and the restaurant that's going to be <br />associated with that in that lobby area that's in the middle of the hotel is going to be a <br />Trader Vic's. And so, the dba (doing business as), the TBD (to be determined) was to <br />be determined, but the name will be Island Bar and Grill by Trader Vic's. And so, what <br />Trader Vic's will be doing is part of Hampton Inn's, they serve free breakfast when you <br />go to a Hampton Inn, and so they'll be doing the breakfast in that lobby area and also <br />running the restaurant. <br />Nishimoto: Have you received the report? <br />Garson: Yes. <br />Nishimoto: Are there any changes to the report? <br />Garson: No, except for the dba (doing business as). <br />Nishimoto: The adding of the name, okay. So, again, that was Island Bar and Grill by <br />Trader Vic's? <br />Garson: Correct. <br />Nishimoto: Any public testimony? <br />There was no public testimony. <br />Nishimoto: Seeing that there are none. Are there any discussion or questions on <br />behalf of the Commission? <br />There was no discussion by Commissioners. <br />Nishimoto: No questions. When we have comprehensive reports, there's usually no <br />questions. Okay, may I have a motion to approve or deny Application No. 24-09?
