GMAC’s “Mana Aina Award”: Continue discussion and/or finalizing the <br />nomination form, and other related materials, to honor outstanding <br />individuals or groups who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to <br />support the hunter-gatherer community and protecting our natural <br />resources. This award recognizes efforts that embody the spirit of <br />stewardship and respect for the land and community. <br /> <br />7. NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />a. Reports and discussion on feral pigs and goats issue, create a game <br />management plan and a permitted interactions group. <br /> <br />b. Discussion on GMAC’s Draft 2024 Third Quarter Report to Mayor and <br />County Council, Commissioner Leomana Turalde. <br /> <br />c. Discussion on GMAC’s Draft 2024 Fourth Quarter Report to Mayor and <br />County Council, Commissioner Robert Duerr. <br /> <br />8. ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />a. ADJOURNMENT. <br />Executive Session: This Commission anticipates it may convene in one or more executive <br />sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 and <br />92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board’s attorney on questions and issues <br />pertaining to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A two-thirds <br />(2/3) vote pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statute Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive <br />session. Executive sessions are closed to the public. <br /> <br />Note: This meeting shall be automatically recessed for up to 30 minutes to restore communication <br />when audiovisual communication cannot be maintained with all Commission members <br />participating in the meeting or with the “in-person” location identified in this agenda. This meeting <br />may be in-person when either audiovisual communication is restored, or audio-only <br />communication is established after an unsuccessful attempt to restore audiovisual <br />communication.
