PRESERVING OUR CULTURAL & HISTORIC LEGACIES <br />Multi -Cultural Heritage <br />SUSTAINABILITY OBJECTIVE <br />At least one yearly cultural event is supported by the County in each district. <br />POLICY <br />426. Support festivals and events that promote the island's multi -cultural heritage. <br />427. Represent Hawai'i as a place that embraces not only its own multi -cultural heritage, but <br />all world cultures in inclusive and celebratory ways. <br />428. Promote educational and celebratory opportunities for cultural exchanges with other <br />world cultures. <br />429. Promote opportunities for 'sister city' and other types of place -based cultural <br />enrichment opportunities with international communities. <br />ACTION <br />4.75 Establish and maintain a County Program (including grants) to support festivals and <br />events that promote history and culture. <br />PRESERVING OUR CULTURAL & HISTORIC LEGACIES <br />Historic Preservation <br />SUSTAINABILITY OBJECTIVE <br />Achieve 100% preservation of sites identified for preservation by State Historic Preservation <br />Division. <br />POLICY <br />430.
