Merit Appeals Board <br />September 19, 2024 <br />Call to Order (Item 1) <br />CHR. CABANAS: So, the regular meeting of the Merit Appeals Board is called to order at <br />9:04 a.m. We have quorum today with four Board members present. I'm Gabriella Cabanas, <br />Chair, of the Merit Appeals Board. With me, here, in the Hilo Council Chambers at the Hawaii <br />County Building, at 25 Aupuni Street, First Floor, Room 1401, in Hilo, are Ms. Gay Mathews to <br />my left. <br />MS. MATHEWS: Good morning. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Good morning. And to my far right, Ms. Suzi Bond. <br />MS. BOND: Good morning. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Good morning. And appearing via Zoom from Kailua-Kona, <br />Mr. David Wiseman. <br />MR. WISEMAN: Good morning. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Good morning. And our Legal Counsel from the Attorney General's Office, <br />Deputy Attorney General, Mr. James Halvorson, appearing via Zoom. And to my immediate <br />right, our other Legal Counsel for the meeting is Mr. J Yoshimoto, Assistant Corporation <br />Counsel. <br />MR. YOSHIMOTO: Good morning, everyone. <br />CHR. CABANAS: And in the back of our Board is Glynis Yamada, our Secretary -Reporter. <br />MS. YAMADA: Good morning. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Good morning.
