Merit Appeals Board September 19, 2024
MR. WISEMAN: Yeah, I have one concern —in reading all the communications, the one that
seems to beI don't know, if it's a factor, then disregard but the "Certificates of Service" even
in court filingsI mean, they have no significance unless a party doesn't show up —something
like that —says he's not served. But to have to read all those, it seems like, to me, it's a waste of
time.
CHR. CABANAS: I know, it does take a lot of time but I have to defer to our Legal Counsel, J.
MR. WISEMAN: Yeah. I mean, there are definitely relevant communications that have to be
read —appeals and filings —but certificates of service, I mean, they can really fill up a file and
they have no future use once someone shows up or there's a hearing or a filing or something.
Anyway, I'll defer it to J.
CHR. CABANAS: Does that have to be agendized later —no? Okay, we'll look into it. Thank
you, David. Any other —
MR. WISEMAN: I'll make a motion to adjourn?
CHR.
