It proposes to give <br /> powers to the County and State governments that will destroy our constitutional republic. <br /> The General Plan 2045 severely abridges the right of personal liberty which our constitution so <br /> preciously, and jealously guards for the people, and for posterity. You, who are putting the words <br /> together in this planning document, callously override the most important value and spirit of our republic, <br /> that of liberty, without a word of discussion or dissent about these abridgements. <br /> The destruction of personal liberty may appear to be justified under our present, manmade climate-fear <br /> mainstream narrative, but what are the actual facts that prove the existence of a manmade climate <br /> catastrophe which you are using to allow for the possible abridging of the people's rights? <br /> Certainly the sea level rise problem has not happened, as Liliuokalani Park in Hilo is still not inundated <br /> after 100 years. What other errors, distortions, and lies have been pushed as real facts? Are you certain <br /> that there are no other scientists with opposing facts and information? Are you working with facts or are <br /> you working with politicized ideologies?Where is your due diligence? These is your responsibility. <br /> Ignorance has no place in scientific inquiry. To ignore any fact-based and reasoned presentation of <br /> contrary information is ignorance. Making policy decisions based on these one-sided, unscientific and <br /> politicized ideologies is the ruin of honest government and in our case the destruction of our constitutional <br /> republic. <br /> The ramifications of proceeding with this commission's approval of General Plan 2045 and its proveably <br /> unscientific reasoning will result in a future where only the wealthy will own businesses, and property, and <br /> homes. The liberties and rights of the people, presently guaranteed protection by our constitution, will be <br /> eliminated. <br /> You and your progeny will curse this document that you expect the County Council to ratify and make into <br /> a legally referenced guide for the future. You and your families will have to live with the unconstituional <br /> overreach and tyranical abuse that the hypnotic language of this plan would allow. <br /> The people will own nothing but will not be happy! <br /> Aloha, <br /> Loretta Pasco <br />
