Merit Appeals Board <br />January 16, 2025 <br />Unfinished Business (Item 8) <br />A) Communication No. 24-02.05, Received December 30, 2024, From Deputy Attorney <br />General James E. Halvorson, Transmitting The "Findings Of Facts, Conclusions Of Law <br />And Order" Concerning An Appeal Hearing Held On April 25, 2024, Regarding <br />Communication No. 24-02, Received On February 12, 2024, From Appellant, Appealing <br />The Following Actions By The County Of Hawai`i's Department Of Public Works: <br />Recruitment And Examination, Classification Or Reclassification Of A Particular Position, <br />And Initial Pricing Of Class (Of Work) (Executive Session: The Merit Appeals Board <br />Anticipates Convening One Or More Executive Meetings Regarding The Above Matter, <br />Pursuant To HRS Sections 92-4, 92-5(a)(2) And 92-5(a)(4), For The Purpose Of Evaluating <br />An Officer Or Employee Of The County Of Hawaii, Where The Consideration Of Matters <br />Affecting Privacy Will Be Involved And Consulting With The Board's Attorney On <br />Questions And Issues Pertaining To The Board's Powers, Duties, Privileges, Immunities, <br />And Liabilities. A 2/3 Vote Of The Members Present Pursuant To HRS Section 92-4 Is <br />Necessary To Hold An Executive Meeting. Board Action Required. Approval Of The <br />Findings Of Facts, Conclusions Of Law And Order) <br />CHR. CABANAS: We are now on "Unfinished Business" for discussion and appropriate <br />action —and this is "A)" Communication number 24-02.05. <br />So, have you had the chance to review the Findings of Facts and Conclusions of Law and <br />Order —and, if you have, may I have a motion to accept and file and approve the Findings of <br />Facts and Conclusions of Law and Order. <br />MS.
