REPORTS <br />A. Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women (HSCSW) Ex-Officio member <br /> <br />B. Family Violence Interagency Committee (FVIC): meeting with local agencies in <br />collaboration with Office of Prosecuting Attorney on issues of domestic andfamily <br /> <br />a. Meeting Dates: <br />i. East Side: Meeting first Monday of the month <br />ii. West Side: Meeting every second Wednesday of the month <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Continued discussion on the history of the <br />contest regularly performed by CSW and direction of the project moving forward with <br />the local schools. <br /> <br />B. Election of Officers <br />C. HB 729/HD1/HD2 Relating to Marriage of Minors: Raises the minimum age to enter <br />into marriage from sixteen to eighteen years of age. Repeals the authority of parents <br />and the family court to consent to a minor's marriage. Repeals spousal cohabitation <br />after the parties attain legal age as an exception for an annulment based on nonage. <br />Repeals exemptions for sexual assault of a minor if the perpetrator is married to the <br />minor. Makes conforming amendments. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD2) <br />IX. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS <br />A. Communications Sub-Committee <br />a. Family Services Directory: CSW and OPA completes its update of the 2024- <br />updates. Community feedback; distribution report. <br />B. Legislative/Advocacy Sub-Committee <br /> <br />
